Help choosing a TalkTalk deal as a new customer
TalkTalk broadband is delivered in either traditional ADSL (fixed line) broadband, with speeds up to 17mb. Alternatively, TalkTalk fibre broadband provides speeds of up to 76mb. All broadband services are unlimited and are not capped.
And the Kit? With the ‘TalkTalk TV Plus box’ you can pause, rewind and record up to 180 hours of TV. The ‘TalkTalk TV box’ come with the entry level TV option and does not have the ability to record TV. Your TV box is sent to you within 2 days of your broadband going live. Your router is send to you via post and can be easily connected to your land line port. If an engineer is needed, then TalkTalk will advise you when you can expect a home visit.
TalkTalk TV offer 2 TV packs; TV and TV Plus. Further add-on’s are available such as Sky Sports and Sky Cinema. TV Plus includes 30 additional premium channels including 6 Sky channels; Sky 1, Sky 2, Sky Arts, Sky Living, Real Lives, and Sky Sports News. Netflix is available for 5.99 a month and you can rent blockbuster movies for £4.00.

TalkTalk was founded in 2003 as part of Carphone Warehouse. It was separated in 2010 and is now a standalone company. Originally TalkTalk only offered fixed phone line and ADSL services. It has now expanded and offers Fibre broadband, digital TV, land land and mobile services.
It has overcome a number of difficulties such as the well publicized hack in 2015, and further issues with router security. As a result TalkTalk offer ‘HomeSafe’ – which is a network-level security services which blocks sites with viruses, and restricts those with adult and violent material. Over 4000 on-demand shows and films are also available.
