How soon can I return to TalkTalk and receive their new customer offers?

If you have been a TalkTalk customer previously, then returning after 12 months mean that your become a new customer once again. This means you can take advantage of new customer offers.

How long does it take to get TalkTalk installed?

TalkTalk tell us that installation of services are averaging around 7-10 days. This depends on demand in your area. If TalkTalk decide that you do not need an engineer, then you simply receive your router by post and plug it into your landline port. You will receive an ‘Activation Day’ when your services will become live.

How fast are TalkTalk’s Broadband speeds?

TalkTalk ADSL Broadband (via a fixed telephone land line) provides speeds of up to 17Mbps (depending on the distance between your residence and your local telephone exchange).
TalkTalk fibre broadband provides speeds of up to 76Mbps. TalkTalk broadband is truly unlimited and they do not use traffic management*.
(*Traffic management is used by some service providers to slow connections at peak times. If there are a larger number of people in your area using the service, this helps the local network cope).

What Broadband limits are there on usage?

TalkTalk no longer offer a capped or restricted broadband service. All products offer unlimited downloads / usage.

What do I need in order to watch Sky Sports and / or Sky Cinema?

TalkTalk give you the option to add-on Sky Sports channels 1 to 6 and all 11 Sky Cinema channels to your TV package. These optional extras can be managed on a monthly basis, so you’re not tied into any additional contracts. (*Update 2021: Sky TV packs are not currently available via TalkTalk services).

As a result TalkTalk offer ‘HomeSafe’ – which is a network-level security services which blocks sites with viruses, and restricts those with adult and violent material. Over 4000 on-demand shows and films are also available.
